If you are out of practice, or
nervous about getting back into the water, please consider
strongly hiring on a private guide on your first day back in the
water. Most of the divers we see dive primarily on
vacations, and might take a couple extra minutes to feel
comfortable on their first dive - this is not unusual at all, but
sometimes we'll see divers who are very nervous to the
point they feel they have to "psych themselves up" just
to enter the water and such. In some cases this can really
effect the quality of the diving experience for other divers on
the boat.
In most cases, the relatively
simple solution to this is to bring on an extra guide. We're
happy to bring on an extra crew member to give special attention
to those who might need it for a day. We'll treat it more
like an intro dive, you'll be paying the intro diver price, but
for many nervous/out of practice divers it's well worth
it.... they can get back into it at their own speed.
If it turns out we don't have other divers on board for the day
and can do the dives with our regular complement of crew, there
isn't any additional charge.
