Let's see...So you...

Wanna dive?

If you are out of practice, or nervous about getting back into the water, please consider strongly hiring on a private guide on your first day back in the water.  Most of the divers we see dive primarily on vacations, and might take a couple extra minutes to feel comfortable on their first dive - this is not unusual at all, but sometimes we'll see divers who are very nervous to the point they feel they have to "psych themselves up" just to enter the water and such.  In some cases this can really effect the quality of the diving experience for other divers on the boat.

In most cases, the relatively simple solution to this is to bring on an extra guide.  We're happy to bring on an extra crew member to give special attention to those who might need it for a day.  We'll treat it more like an intro dive, you'll be paying the intro diver price, but for many  nervous/out of practice divers it's well worth it....  they can get back into it at their own speed.  If it turns out we don't have other divers on board for the day and can do the dives with our regular complement of crew, there isn't any additional charge.

DIVE TO YOUR SKILL LEVEL

Our goal is to make your return to the underwater world a pleasant one.  With a private guide, you'll be able to take things at your speed.  Our goal is to take care of divers who might need a little extra attention, while ensuring that our divers who are ready to go, can get to it a a comfortable pace as well.

So... Ready to get back in the water?

Drop me a line and we'll set it up.  In most cases a day of diving with a personal guide will get rusty or nervous divers back into the swim of things.  This is not a refresher course, if you've been out for years and years, you might consider taking a refresher course before coming over to dive.

Really rusty or nervous?

It is with a combination of sadness and excitement that as of December of 2012 we're closing our dive charter business to pursue other opportunities on the mainland.  We've had a lot of fun meeting people over the years, and there are many I consider friends.   I'd like to say a big MAHALO to all who have patronized us over the last decade.  I'll still be continuing my blog http://www.kona-scuba-diving.blogspot.com if anyone cares to check on what I'm up to.  Scuba may or may not be part of my future, so this website will stay active for a while just in case.  I will be checking my business e-mail from time to time  steve@wannadivekona.com if anyone wishes to say howdy.  A fond ALOHA to all.
