Wanna Dive is a small scuba charter business in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Our goal is to provide personalized service to individuals or small groups (Our boat takes a maximum of 6 passengers, and we'll go with as few as two divers if booked in advance) and to have some fun while doing it.  We run our charters at a slow and relaxed pace.  If you are looking for scuba diving instruction, a private dive guide or personalized service from a dive operator, then you've come to the right spot.

Let us share our enthusiasm for scuba diving Kona with you!

Here's our boat: Plenty of shade and room for everyone. Completely rebuilt in late '07, it carries all the USCG required safety materials, as well as vhf radio and DAN O2 kit.

We're camera friendly, the crew is always looking for neat local critters to show you.

Come enjoy some great Kona scuba diving with us!

Here's an attempt at a basic slideshow of some of the things we see diving here in Kona.

We enjoy meeting new people and sharing what Kona has to offer underwater.  Feel free to browse through this site to find out more about my scuba business, and Kona above and below the water.  In this site you'll see lots of underwater photos, taken on dives we offer, and also information on the Big Island and non-diving activities such as watching dolphins, some Kona beach info, and Kona restaurants.

It is with a combination of sadness and excitement that as of December of 2012 we're closing our dive charter business to pursue other opportunities on the mainland.  We've had a lot of fun meeting people over the years, and there are many I consider friends.   I'd like to say a big MAHALO to all who have patronized us over the last decade.  I'll still be continuing my blog http://www.kona-scuba-diving.blogspot.com if anyone cares to check on what I'm up to.  Scuba may or may not be part of my future, so this website will stay active for a while just in case.  I will be checking my business e-mail from time to time  steve@wannadivekona.com if anyone wishes to say howdy.  A fond ALOHA to all.
